The fact that they manage to call what appears to be a black-powder smoothbore cannon a ‘LBPG’ just kills me. I’d like to have seen the budget line item for that.

I’m sure no one would have blinked. The guys who did it work for the Shock and Detonation Physics Group, after all.
BTW, to classify this as ‘like a Civil War cannon’ is, um… inaccurate if this QuickTime is anything to judge by. After watching it, the incident makes much more sense.
